On Sunday 30 players re-gathered at the Fat-Cat for another tournament, the Thailand Relief Tournament. Over $450 was raised by the New York community to help a suffering Thailand.  Though there were no cash prizes, numerous sponsors made the tournament a little “interesting”.  Rhong Tiam, a critically accalimed Thai restaurant, donated a $60 gift certificate, Alexander Dinerschtein (Breakfast) donated a one month membership to his online Insei-league and Go-pro Stephanie Yin donated a private lesson as a prize.  In addition to prizes, all of the attendees of the touranment received a $10 coupon to slateandshell.com as well as a free online lesson from Kazunari Furuyama.  For more information on his lessons please visit his website kazsensei.com.

****Please note the date has changed to DECEMBER 18TH 2011.  Thank You****

****We have added several Sponsors****

The floods that started this summer in Thailand are still being cleaned up. As many as 17 provinces of Thailand, including Bangkok are still underwater. Like we did in the spring to help the victims of the Japanese tsunami, we are organizing a relief tournament for Thailand. The Jazz lounge Fatcat has very generously allowed us to use their space for the tournament. All of the Funds collected will be donated to a charity benefiting the flood victims.

Since we have a slightly limited space, Pre-registration is a must, only the first forty people (current list of registrants) will be allowed to participate. If you would like to donate, but you cannot participate please contact us at badukboris@gmail.com.

The tournament will be AGA rated, that means AGA membership is required.  If you are not yet a member, you will have an option of registering onsite , or paying a one time AGA  playing fee.  If you would like to register now, please click here.
